Dr. Tom Willis was born and raised in Kern County, growing up in the Lamont area of Bakersfield where his parents farmed. After graduating with a doctorate in veterinary medicine, Tom began working as a large animal practitioner, working with dairies, beef producers, and horse clients in Merced and Stanislaus counties.
After spending 17 years in central California, Tom moved back to Bakersfield with his wife, Linda, establishing San Joaquin Veterinary Hospital in 2000.
Tom is running for State Assembly because he is concerned with the slow drip of changes in California which have often been in the wrong direction. The great state of California, once known nationwide as the Golden State has now become unaffordable, crime-ridden, and under the thumb of ever-increasing restrictive policies and regulations. The disastrous effects of Democrat leadership have increased homelessness, crime, taxation, government waste, and mismanagement of our natural resources.
Securing the future of our Golden State is threefold: Repeal failed measures, Diminish the authority of unelected agencies that continue to over-regulate entrepreneurs, and Push back against unconstitutional governmental overreach. California needs a firm hand, ready and willing to get California back on track.
Write-in "Tom Willis" for 32nd Assembly District.
